Buy CR Gems: Cheap Clash Royale Gem Prices Compared

Search "buy CR gems" and every storefront claims the best deal without showing what anyone else charges. This page measures the sellers we track against Supercell's own price for the identical pack, so the discount is a number rather than a claim.

MangoRecharge tracks 8 sellers for Clash Royale. Here is what they were charging at the time of writing.

Cheap Clash Royale gems vs the official price

| Gem pack | Official price | Cheapest tracked | Saving | Sellers listing it | |---|---|---|---|---| | 80 Gems | $0.99 | $0.84 (LootBar) | 15.2% | 5 | | 500 Gems | $4.99 | $4.18 (LootBar) | 16.2% | 6 | | 1,200 Gems | $9.99 | $8.36 (LootBar) | 16.3% | 7 | | 2,500 Gems | $19.99 | $16.73 (LootBar) | 16.3% | 7 |

The striking thing here is how even the discount was. Every tier landed between 15.2% and 16.3% below official, and the same seller led all four. That is a different picture from Clash of Clans, where the discount on the tracked packs ranged from 15% to nearly 48% — even though both games are Supercell titles with identical official gem pricing.

These were United States listings at the time of writing. Check the live Clash Royale gem comparison for current figures before buying.

The spread between sellers

| Gem pack | Cheapest tracked | Dearest tracked | Difference | Dearest vs cheapest | |---|---|---|---|---| | 80 Gems | $0.84 | $1.19 | $0.35 | 42% more | | 500 Gems | $4.18 | $5.14 | $0.96 | 23% more | | 1,200 Gems | $8.36 | $10.69 | $2.33 | 28% more | | 2,500 Gems | $16.73 | $20.99 | $4.26 | 25% more |

In cash the gap widens with the pack — $0.35 on the smallest, $4.26 on the largest. As a percentage it runs the other way: the 80 Gem pack carried the widest gap at 42%. Comparing is worth the thirty seconds at every tier, not only the expensive ones.

Note also that the dearest tracked listing was above Supercell's own price at every tier, not just one — $20.99 against $19.99 on the 2,500 Gem pack, and the same pattern on the other three. A third-party listing is not automatically a discount.

Cost per gem

  • 80 Gems at $0.84 — $0.0105 per gem
  • 500 Gems at $4.18 — $0.0084 per gem
  • 1,200 Gems at $8.36 — $0.0070 per gem
  • 2,500 Gems at $16.73 — $0.0067 per gem

The per-gem cost improves with pack size, but the gain flattens: moving from 1,200 to 2,500 Gems changed the rate by about 4%, while moving from 80 to 500 changed it by about 20%. Buy the size you will actually use rather than the biggest one on the shelf.

What gems are used for

  • Pass Royale — the season pass, bought with gems
  • Shop offers — card and gold bundles that rotate through the shop
  • Tournament entry and creation
  • Card purchases in the daily shop refresh

Gems do not expire, so an unused balance carries forward.

Where to buy Clash Royale gems

Supercell's own storefront and the in-game shop. Instant, no account risk, and the reference price used in the tables above.

Third-party top-up sellers. The cheapest tracked listing sat 15–16% below official on every tier. The dearest tracked listing was above Supercell's own price on all four packs — $1.19 against $0.99, $5.14 against $4.99, $10.69 against $9.99 and $20.99 against $19.99. Which seller you pick matters more than whether you leave the in-game shop.

What to have ready before you buy

  1. Your Player Tag — it looks like #ABC123XYZ and sits under your in-game profile. This is the only identifier a legitimate direct top-up needs.
  2. Your Supercell ID — needed if you are redeeming a gift code instead.
  3. The right country selected on the comparison page.
  4. A payment method without a foreign transaction fee, which can wipe out a 16% saving on a small pack.

How to tell a seller is safe

A legitimate top-up asks for your public Player Tag, or delivers a gift code you redeem yourself through Supercell ID.

Never hand over your account password, and never share a one-time login code. No genuine seller needs to sign into your account to deliver gems. A listing that asks for credentials is not selling you a top-up.

Then the usual checks:

  • HTTPS checkout and a working contact route
  • A refund or dispute policy readable before payment
  • Independent reviews that predate the current promotion
  • A price far under everything else is a reason to look closer. The tables above show what a real discount looked like across 8 sellers on one day

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the comparison on small packs. The 80 Gem pack had the widest proportional gap of all four tiers, at 42%.
  • Assuming every third-party listing beats official. The dearest tracked listing was above Supercell's price on all four packs.
  • Not checking the per-gem cost. Divide price by gems before assuming a bigger pack is better value at the seller you are on.
  • Ignoring checkout fees. Compare the total you actually pay.
