A lot of Australian players start this search by typing "Codashop Australia Genshin" and hoping a local store page turns up with Australian-dollar prices. Here is what the comparison table actually showed when we checked: five sellers had current prices for Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals in Australia, Codashop was not one of them, and none of the five quoted in Australian dollars. Every price below is a US-dollar figure.
The bigger surprise is that Australia does not have its own price list at all. The full set of seller quotes for Australia was identical, cent for cent, to the set shown for 28 other countries, including Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia and Sweden. If you were hoping that selecting Australia unlocks a cheaper or dearer rate, it does neither.
So the useful question is not "where do Australians buy", it is "which pack and which seller". That is what this article works through.
The Australian table
Six pack sizes had current prices from at least three sellers each:
| Pack | Cheapest | Seller | Sellers quoting | Spread to dearest | |---|---|---|---|---| | 60 Genesis Crystals | $0.99 | MooGold | 3 | 20% | | 330 Genesis Crystals | $3.54 | Eldorado.gg | 3 | 67% | | 1,090 Genesis Crystals | $9.71 | Eldorado.gg | 3 | 81% | | 2,240 Genesis Crystals | $17.70 | Eldorado.gg | 3 | 98% | | 3,880 Genesis Crystals | $29.98 | Eldorado.gg | 3 | 95% | | 8,080 Genesis Crystals | $58.76 | Eldorado.gg | 3 | 99% |
The cheapest seller changes after the first row. MooGold, listed as an established reseller on MangoRecharge, was cheapest on the 60 pack. From 330 crystals upward, Eldorado.gg, listed as a third-party seller on MangoRecharge, was cheapest on every remaining size.
What one hundred crystals costs at each size
Divide each cheapest price by the number of crystals and scale it to 100, and the ladder looks like this:
| Pack | Cost per 100 crystals | Change from the size below | |---|---|---| | 60 | $1.650 | — | | 330 | $1.073 | −35.0% | | 1,090 | $0.891 | −17.0% | | 2,240 | $0.790 | −11.3% | | 3,880 | $0.773 | −2.2% | | 8,080 | $0.727 | −5.9% |
From the 60 pack to the 8,080 pack, the cost per 100 crystals falls from $1.650 to $0.727, a drop of about 56%. No tier goes the wrong way: each bigger pack is cheaper per crystal than the one before it.
Look at the right-hand column, though. The 3,880 pack is the weak step. It improves on the 2,240 pack by only 2.2% per crystal, while the jump from 3,880 to 8,080 gives back 5.9%. If you are already spending around $30, the 3,880 pack is not the efficient stopping point it looks like; the 2,240 pack delivers almost the same rate for $12.28 less up front.
Stacking small packs is the expensive habit
Small, frequent top-ups feel cheaper because each one is a small number. The arithmetic says otherwise. Eighteen 60 packs give you 1,080 crystals and cost 18 × $0.99 = $17.82. A single 1,090 pack gives you ten more crystals for $9.71. That is $8.11 extra for fewer crystals, roughly 84% more money.
The same pattern holds higher up. Two 1,090 packs come to 2,180 crystals for $19.42, while one 2,240 pack is 60 crystals more for $17.70.
The same pack, very different prices
The spread column is where Australian buyers can lose the most without noticing. On the 60 pack the gap between the cheapest and dearest seller is small: $0.99 against $1.19, or 20%. As packs get bigger, the gap widens sharply:
- 2,240 crystals: $17.70 against $35.13, a 98% gap.
- 8,080 crystals: $58.76 against $117.08, a 99% gap, which is $58.32 for exactly the same crystals.
In other words, on the large packs the dearest quote is close to double the cheapest. Picking the right seller matters least on the smallest pack and most on the biggest one, which is the opposite of how many people shop.
How Australia compares with other countries
This is where the "Australia" part of the search falls away.
Identical countries. The full price list for Australia was identical, seller for seller and cent for cent, to those of 28 other countries, including Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Italy, Spain and Sweden. Greece has a different full list, yet its comparison table matches Australia's row for row.
The United States. The US list includes one more seller than Australia's, but the cheapest price on every pack is the same: $0.99, $3.54, $9.71, $17.70, $29.98 and $58.76. The extra seller did not undercut anyone.
Egypt. The only place the cheapest price moved was on the smallest pack. In Egypt, TopUp Easy quoted the 60 pack at $0.74, which is $0.25 or about 25% below Australia's $0.99. From 330 crystals upward, Egypt's cheapest prices are the same as Australia's.
So there is no Australia-only price for Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals. What changes what you pay is pack size and seller choice, not the country you pick.
A practical way to buy
- If you top up once in a while, the 1,090 pack at $9.71 is the first size where the per-crystal rate drops below $0.90 per 100.
- If you are saving for a banner, the 2,240 pack at $17.70 gets most of the available efficiency. The 3,880 step adds little.
- If you are buying the largest pack, compare sellers carefully: the cheapest and dearest 8,080 quotes differ by $58.32.
- Your card's conversion matters. Every price here is in US dollars, so your bank's exchange rate and any foreign-transaction fee are part of the real cost in AUD.
Before you buy
- Match the server. Make sure the top-up is for the server your account plays on (America, Europe, Asia or TW/HK/MO). Crystals land on one server account and generally cannot be shifted to another.
- Check the delivery method. Some listings top up directly using your UID; others sell a code you redeem yourself. Know which one you are paying for.
- Never share your password. A UID top-up needs your UID, not your login details.
- Treat a price far below the rest with care, and look for a working support contact before paying.
